So I'm Pretty Sure My Oven Just Blew Up (Or Something Of The Like)

Picture this. It's around 7 o'clock on a Sunday night. Dad's at a meeting. Younger brother lays on the couch, engrossed in his book- the radio is on. In the kitchen adjoining the living room the mother and older daughter have just finished cutting up tortillas for some homemade chips- they're on a baking tray ready to go in the oven. While waiting as the oven heats up the daughter goes to a nearby closet to search for a paper bag to put the gifts for her teachers in. Suddenly there is a loud sound. "BZZZZZZT!" Uh-oh...it came from the oven. The mother opens the oven door and smoke streams out. What just happened? Did the element blow? A faintly electrical/chemical smell fills the air.

So yeah. Dunno what just happened but that's the story.

Oh my gosh! Yucky smells are never good. Neither are ovens that "blow up". Maybe you should call an oven specialist.... jk lol :P

I hope everything is ok. :)

I hope your ok. ONce mt TV did basically the same thing, and it was really annoying, 'coz we couldn't watch The SImpsons that night. On the bright side though, we got a flat screen TV :)

Yes, the oven won't work right now at all so we'll have to do with the microwave and possibly the camp stove if we get totally desperate!

Silver, that's what the advertising page is for.

That doesn't seem very good for the state of your oven . . .
