Creativity

Well? How do you like it?

I spent a good long time this afternoon redesigning Treble Clef, and I must say, I am very pleased with the results.

I was most pleased with the header. It was very fun to make and I love the way it turned out.

Please vote on the poll on the side to say what you think. I hope you like it as much I do. :)

On other creative topics, I've finished the first verse of Hallelujah for trumpet, piano, cello, and violin (recording to come soon) and have made a significant start in my Trumpet Sonata No. 1 (Prelude). I can tell that it will be great.

I also took some lovely moon pictures last night at a flashlight September 11th memorial. It was stunning, all the lights and the full moon rising above. It is time for light- we've been in darkness for too long.

What have YOU done that's

creative?

Answers Among Other Things

Put your hands together and give a big round of applause to Olive Tree and Robin Blogs for this awesome fall look! I hope you like it 'cause it's staying this way until December. :) I did get some questions for the last post and (as promised) here are the answers. I hope that you learn a little bit more about me.

Emma @ Summer Girl

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

I'm really more of an early morning person. As I've mentioned before, many of the posts during the school year are before six in the morning!

Have you ever been to Europe?

*sigh* Not YET, but we may go to France for April vacation.

What do you hope to go to college for? (scholarship possibilities)As of right now, music education. I could probably get a music schoalship.

Zoraz @ Dog Trainer In Training

Whaz your FAVORITE book?

THAT, my friend, is and impossible question. Just look under my profile :)

Favorite blog?

I love any blog that I follow.

 Love dogs?

Not a bit. I adore cats, but I am very allergic and can't be around any animals for extended periods of time.

SofieRose **I have no blog

What is your favorite fruit?

Mmm. I love fruit. Raspberries, grapefruit, watermelon and pineapple are at the top of the list.

Have you ever been out of the country, if so, what other countries?

Let's see. (I live in the USA) I've driven to Niagra Falls before so Canada. I went to Grenada in 1st grade and Belize in 5th.

Do you like cooking or baking?

Yes I do! In fact, I baked some brownies yesterday. Yum :)

Olive Tree @ HorseFeathers

May I ask why you're doing this little exercise?

To let my readers learn more about me through their questions.

Have you checked your email recently (re: blog design)?

Obviously.

Ripple @ Low Brass

Hmm, How do you feel about homework?

Depends on the assignment and how much of it their is. If I have five subjects that I have homework in and hours of homework for each then it's torture.

Favorite kind of sandwich?

Swiss cheese, lettuce, mustard, cucumber, pickles, potato chips, s&p, on white.

Now, do you like or dislike palm trees?

I love them. (not that we have any where we live)

So what's changing?

First of all, I must say thank you very much to the 13 people who took my blogger survey! You may still take it to give feedback at anytime that you wish. Everyone had good information and ideas that are now being incorporated.

Many of you said that you would like to see a new look soon. Well, you should be getting a little tired of 'Summer Storm' because it's been up since the beginning of June and the beginning of the summer months. But guess what? It's almost September and time for the fall theme! 60 Treble Clef readers voted on the theme poll, and the decision was 'Vivid Leaves'. Yesterday I put in my request for her 'Just for You' package that I won in Hannah's photography contest. So a new fall theme coming in early September!

With the new theme will be a slightly different layout. The blog will still be 3-column, but both sidebars will be on the right, and the post area will be large enough to hold X-Large pictures!

Also, the playlist has been moved to the bottom of the blog so that you can see the whole player, and the stats are now on the sidebar.

Many people wanted more pictures in the posts and I am going to try and add more of them. For now, here's a nice picture of a geranium on the front porch:

Readers mentioned that they'd like weekly polls just about basic things about the bloggers who follow/read Treble Clef. I liked the idea, and so I'm instituting it. Please check out the newest poll!

Finally, (I think), to get a variety of posts out there, I'm going to be hosting featured bloggers on Treble Clef! Please email me at trebleclefblog@gmail.com if you would like to be interviewed here!

My buddy Ripplestar is coming over today and I haven't seen here in a really long time, so I'm excited!!!

Craziest Week Ever- Monday (Morning)

So this week's posting is going to be a little different. The titles will pretty much look like this one and I'm hoping to have two posts a day (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) and if I follow through on that.....it means that sometime this week I will be hitting my 600th post! Wow! And furthermore, have any of you checked out that followers gadget lately? Treble Clef now has 89 followers! That's so awesome.

So my crazy week starts today. Yesterday I planned by outlining the whole week's activities and sticking it to the fridge, figuring out what I'll wear every day so I don't waste time doing that in the morning, etc. And today's the day it all starts!

My handy-dandy schedule says a few things are happening today. XanFan has a baseball game and my mom and I have to run the concessions stand, I have a doctor's appointment after school and I need to wash my trumpet. I also have to turn in my laptop :'( and clarinet today, and it's our next to last sectional and out final chorus rehearsal.

Finally, I've already heard most of your opinions through the Cbox and previous comments, but how do you like the makeover? Olive Tree did a great job! The only problem seems to be that I don't have a 'fonts and colors' tab any more so I can't change that purplely color to a nice orange. :P Also, as you can see, I have a button now and I'd love it if you put it on your blog!

Remember Olive Tree?

She's BACK! Our long-lost friend Olive Tree who left blogger several months ago had decided to return. (And she'll be giving Treble Clef it's new summer makeover too!) Her new blog can be found HERE so I hope that you decide to hop on over and check it out. Never met Olive Tree? You're missing out on befriending a great person :)

In other news, there's a severe thunderstorm going on right now and yeah, I'm sitting here on a computer *sheepish smile* Also tomorrow I begin my infamous 'Crazy week to top all other crazy weeks'. It'll be fun.

Amazing Grace

Can I just say it....my composition is amazing. I spent a lot of time composing and transposing my own version of Amazing Grace to play at the memorial service tomorrow. I got back from practicing with the organist a little while ago and it sounds awesome. Like really good. So, I'm happy that it turned out so well, especially since this is one of the first times that I've took on that task. I think it will be really nice tomorrow.

Another thing is that you will notice the header. I am going to keep this up until I get home, just in memory of my grandfather, and to raise awareness of the cancer that took his life.

anecdote-- please read

Good day at school...blah, blah, blah.

Anyway. Here's what I wrote at the top of Anecdote:

"For those of you who have sent in submissions already- THANKS! I've had 4 so far and they have been scheduled to post one at a time every other day with the first on May 1 and the last on May 7. Now here's the new part: Anyone who wants to can become an official author of Anecdote!!! Email me with the address that you want me to use to add you as a contributor, and you will have admin privileges! I'm going to do a new background/header and this blog is going *3 column!* The right one will basically what it has been and the left will be bios of the authors. ADVERTISE THIS ON YOUR BLOG AND EMAIL ME!"

My other blog, Anecdote is changing! As you probably know it used to be the place where Olive Tree and I shared our short stories and poems. But now, it's a lot for one person to handle. So I'm changing! First I asked for submissions, but now, I'm asking for you to become a contributor to this awesome blog! You don't have to post every day- maybe once a week or so, especially if we've got lots of people interested! So just email me at trebleclefblog@gmail.com and tell me. It's extremely easy. Also, I got the new look up there, and it's really cool :)

A couple of blogs you may want to check out

First off, I'm back to the Cornet Crazie. Suits me better. And didn't I find the CUTEST profile picture?? Anyway......Yesterday and Tuesday a couple friends told me they had just made some blogs, etc, and wanted me to fix them up. So they're done now and look pretty neat. One of them has the Willa design and one has this background but I made a new header. Here they are:

Musical Madness by Anna 13

Low Brass: Live the Life of Bass Clef by Queen of Low Brass

Check them out if you want!

Other REALLY big news is that Treble Clef is going to get a makeover!!!!! Olive Tree promises it will be ready if not this weekend, by the end of vacation. I'm really excited to see the winter look!!!

Wow. Um. I guess I'd better hurry up and get ready for jazz band. This long post has put my a little behind schedule!
