Just a quick post...

So I don't have a lot of time because I'm in workshop (study hall) and school gets out in 11 minutes but oh well. This will be quick.

Today was a good Friday. We had two subs.... :P but it wasn't that bad. In fact- I strongly preferred our science sub to our regular teacher! Haha.

But there were no band classes for me, so sadness....

After school I've got a pizza party with all the jazz members from this year...and 8th graders all get special awards. And they are HILARIOUS. I can't wait to see which one I got!

Another great thing is that our laptops were supposed to be taken away today but there was a change of plan and they are really being taken away on Monday. :)

So I guess I'll wrap up this sloppy, choppy post and I promise I'll post something better either later tonight or tomorrow morning.

See ya!

*note to self* pick up 8th grade social permission slip in office after school.....

For the love of Friday's

BEST DAY OF THE WEEK. Just saying. In the grand scheme of things today was pretty fun. Before homeroom, me and Bella and Elránia were walking around and the 7th graders who are going to Peak's with us were practicing so we stood outside and were just being ridiculous by marching/dancing to their music. Was fun :) After I got home (i.e. just now) I took some data...on how much everything I carry into school on Monday/out of school on Friday weighs. Here are the results:

Laptop- 7lbs

Backpack- 8lbs

Pro Trumpet- 13lbs

Marching Trumpet- 12lbs

Cornet- 9lbs

Trombone- 7lbs

Clarinet- 4lbs

Total- 60lbs

Crazy, right?

Bugs, Flowers, and Trees

Here I am. Posting on a computer that is sadly not my laptop. *sigh* I wish they wouldn't take them away before vacations. Anyway, school was OK today. It was a little bit of a different thing cause it's the last real day before vacation, so I won't do the log. Wow. I am really just rambling on aren't I? OK. The real meaning behind this post. The title is the name of a very gross cafeteria lunch they served in elementary school and also the subject of some photos I've been wanting to show you. Of. Guess what? Bugs, flowers, and trees! (Let it be known that no editing, cropping has been done and that I didn't use my zoom once. Oh wait. Yes I did. On the one of the duck. But yes, I got that close to the bees) Wow. My writing is sounding very stupid so I'll just shut up and show you the pics:

I have to say it. I LOOOOOOVE my camera, and I hope you loved these pictures! Tomorrow's job shadow day--- soooo excited!!!

A Beautiful Day

After a stressful and long day of classes which was mostly spent by doodling on my math papers (WHY does that always seem to happen?) and staring out the window to the sunny day outside (And I was stuck inside listening to my teachers drone on....and on......and on......) 2:15 finally came. I decided to go and do some extra French practice with Bella but that really didn't happen. I found instead found myself re-doing my teacher's whiteboard and getting engaged in some very interesting conversations. My French teacher is so funny. She and my band director are right at the top of the 'best teachers ever' list in my mind. :) Anyway, I got home around 3:30 and now I am sitting on my porch swing typing this post. It's warm out, the sun is shining, and I'm listening to the birds sing, the song of windchimes and the joyful sounds of Owl City pouring out of my laptop. Tomorrow is the state jazz festival and the first day of spring, but for right now, I'm perfectly happy with Friday afternoon.

Bye-Bye laptop and challenge

:'( WAHHHHHHHHHH. I had to let my laptop go today. Off into the great beyond. *sob!* Yes. I'm a drama queen. I still have the home desktop PC at least, but unfortunately, I have to share that with the other 3 people in my family which results in a lot of yelling of 'I thought Mom said you could only do homework on the computer' from my brother. Anyway, this also means no funny LOL cat pictures until I get my laptop back. So we are going to try an experiment instead!!!

I call it: Treble Clef Followers Challenge!!!!

All you have to do to participate:

1. Put the button below, in a post on your blog.

2. Put the link to my blog under.

3. People will hopefully see this and come here.

4. If those people like it, they can follow and leave a comment from whose blog they came to mine from.

5. The person with the best marketing skills (i.e. the person who is able to influence the most people) wins and gets an award as a prize.

CONTEST ENDS ON TUESDAY!!!!

Well this is just GREAT.

I just heard the news today. We're not allowed to bring our laptops home over February vacation. :'( So sad. I had high hopes too, of

1. Taking some great pics from Saddleback Mountain and Rangely in general, (maybe even have my dad try and take some of me doing tricks on the terrain park) and then when we got back to the hotel being able to upload them here to blogger

2. Being able to access Blogger, Facebook and Gmail while away from home

3. Getting a couple chapters done on TS

4. etc, etc, etc

Grrrrr, Boooo :P
