Deep Clean (and happier topics)

Today we did some deep cleaning of the house. This means cleaning the basement (*dies*) and dragging everything not-too-heavy out of mine and XanFan's rooms to deep wash the carpet. That's actually probably a good thing since my carpet is supposed to be a nice light aqua and XanFan's a bright yellow and they were both looking rather gray...gross. Plus straightening and cleaning every other room. My mom wanted the house clean (with three out of four people in the family in school this past year, the house was not always up to it's...cleanliness) and XanFan is having his birthday party tomorrow. His actual birthday is on Monday, but the party is tomorrow and it's a sleepover. With eight other boys. Tell me. Does being in the same house as nine ten and eleven year old boys from 4pm to 10am sound like a bundle of fun? Oh please, please, help me.....

But as I mentioned in the title, I have time for happier topics too. :) Such as.....105 followers! Awesome! And the great enthusiasm for the writing contest. The entries that I have read so far are excellent, I can't want to read more. Keep 'em coming! Also, I decided to have a little fun with my profile. First I did change my name to just Cornet Crazie. I mean, why have the 'the' when even I don't use it? And I updated fave books/movies and stuff and wrote a funny little about me. So check out my new profile! Also I'm on the hunt for a new profile pic. Sound good? Haha. (I'm in a good, laughing my head off, mood- can you tell?)

Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July everyone! Has everyone had a good Independence Day? It has been oppressively hot all day and we went one a hike. Needless to say, I was very sweaty after and was very happy to jump in the ocean when we got back to the campground! Right now though, it's a comfortable temperature and we just finished dinner which for me consisted of a veggie burger, salad, corn on the cob and root beer. Yum. We decided to opt out of the fireworks and we're staying on our campsite (which is right on the ocean by the way) and have a big campfire, eat brownies and ice cream and do LOTS AND LOTS of sparklers. They are my biggest 4th of July weakness, I have to say....

So just a couple of things before I sign off...

Treble Clef has 99 followers! Earlier today I had 100 but....oh well. Lets get it to 100 once again! This is a big milestone for my blog.

Also, many of you know that [Laurea] at Center Stage had a 'Beauty Contest' of sorts for post quality, layouts, etc, and I was nominated several times and ended up winning Best Post Writer! I'm glad that you all like reading my random thoughts and musings.

I probably won't be able to post tomorrow due to driving time and Elrania's party...but I have plans for posts the rest of the week, mostly including pictures from my adventures these past couple of weeks that I haven't posted yet so check back on Tuesday!

Craziest Week Ever- Monday (Morning)

So this week's posting is going to be a little different. The titles will pretty much look like this one and I'm hoping to have two posts a day (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) and if I follow through on that.....it means that sometime this week I will be hitting my 600th post! Wow! And furthermore, have any of you checked out that followers gadget lately? Treble Clef now has 89 followers! That's so awesome.

So my crazy week starts today. Yesterday I planned by outlining the whole week's activities and sticking it to the fridge, figuring out what I'll wear every day so I don't waste time doing that in the morning, etc. And today's the day it all starts!

My handy-dandy schedule says a few things are happening today. XanFan has a baseball game and my mom and I have to run the concessions stand, I have a doctor's appointment after school and I need to wash my trumpet. I also have to turn in my laptop :'( and clarinet today, and it's our next to last sectional and out final chorus rehearsal.

Finally, I've already heard most of your opinions through the Cbox and previous comments, but how do you like the makeover? Olive Tree did a great job! The only problem seems to be that I don't have a 'fonts and colors' tab any more so I can't change that purplely color to a nice orange. :P Also, as you can see, I have a button now and I'd love it if you put it on your blog!

Bye-Bye laptop and challenge

:'( WAHHHHHHHHHH. I had to let my laptop go today. Off into the great beyond. *sob!* Yes. I'm a drama queen. I still have the home desktop PC at least, but unfortunately, I have to share that with the other 3 people in my family which results in a lot of yelling of 'I thought Mom said you could only do homework on the computer' from my brother. Anyway, this also means no funny LOL cat pictures until I get my laptop back. So we are going to try an experiment instead!!!

OK I have 2 things I will say, well perhaps more but i'll try not to.

#1. I didn't have to deal with a no band day!!!!!!!!! (I got to help out with 6th grade band =D )

#2. In my posts I will try not to talk about band quite so much. While that may seem impossible I think I can do it. Now remember this is just cutting back, not being completly devoid of it. K? K.

OK I do have more to say. (I knew I would, didn't I?!)
