(so sorry this got published way too early -- blogger isn't letting me schedule posts so when I hit publish (meaning to schedule it) it actually published)
I run.
Sometimes because my energy is up and I need to move.
Sometimes because that is my get away -- my place when I am alone. My thinking spot.
Sometimes I have to force myself because all I want to do is be lazy.
But I run anyway, because it's worth it.
I pull my hair up out of my face, stick my headphones into my ears, and blast the volume.
I slip into my running shoes, making sure the laces are strongly tied.
The hardest step is the first one out the front door - then it comes naturally.
I run to the beat of my song, blocking out any other sounds.
The steady pitter-patter of my feet touching the ground goes along with the steady beat of my music.
Then slow and deep breathing - in and out, in and out.
Coming home, I am out of breath and sweaty, but feel great.
A sense of accomplishment, achievement, and pure joy.
I run because yesterday I said tomorrow.
"You can throw in the towel, or you can use it to wipe the sweat off your face."
I am motivated to run, what are you motivated to do?

I'm Danielle: photographer, writer, and musician. Jesus is my everything, because without Him, I would be nothing. I love laughter, dancing in the rain makes me happy, floral is my favorite pattern to wear, I don't go anywhere without my camera, and I am the clumsiest person you will ever meet. Pleasure to meet you!
I would love it if you stopped by my blog!

Great guest post Danielle! I enjoying hiking in the woods, which is basically running. I agree, afterwards I'm hot and sticky, and tired, but it's worth it! :)
Nice post! I love running too. I've joined two marathons already and so far I LOVED it. I'm considering becoming a more serious runner and running maybe at least twice a week.
