Thoughts on NaNoWriMo...

{Click to view my NaNo profile}

Last year, around this time, I heard so many bloggers talking about NaNoWriMo. I had no idea at the time, and unfortunately I found out too late. But by the time NaNo 2009 was over, I just KNEW that I wanted to join this year!

But maybe you don't know what NaNoWriMo is? It's
National Novel Writing Month,
And the challenge is this:
Write a 50,000 word (+) novel, within only 30 days.
Do that, and you're a winner.

Anyway, I've started forming ideas and plots in my head, and I've settled (at least for now) on the title 'Troubled Waters'. I'm not going give away much right now, because my ideas are all works in progress, but I'll be sure to post some later.

Writing a novel in only 30 days though, will be a challenge. I love being public schooled, but during the month of November, I'd think it a luxury to be homeschooled!

I'm really going to have to manage my time, but needless to say, I am really exciting to be doing NaNo this year.

So click the button at the top to view my profile and become my writing buddy if you are doing it too!

Who else is doing NaNo? Who else is up to the challenge?

I'm doing NaNo! We are almost exactly the same, Cornet... I found out too late last year and really felt like I was missing out on a ton of fun! I'm so excited to be able to participate this year!
*shhh.... rewriting is difficult, and I'm getting a head start. It may be cheating, but it took me about three years to get up to 40,000 words on my rough draft so 50,000 words in even TWO months will be a challenge!*

I'm totally doing NaNo. Yeah, I suppose it is an advantage if your home schooled. =)

I'm glad you're doing it this year! Your book title sounds really cool.

Izori- Haha. Oh, well, I suppose a lot of public schoolers win, so why not me as well?

Woah! I wanted to do it last year and I found out too late TOO! :D!! I don't exactly..know....HOW to write a novel. So I'm not doing it. I write about Wild Animals (Shara's Glory) and Agility dogs (Sasha of Kentrell Park), and stuff like that. I'm about to start on a heart wrenching, tear jerking, soul inspiring, cliff hanging story about a girl who was brought to the orphanage at an early age and then escaped from there and met a dog named Skipe. (Yes, Skipe from the computer thing. I had this strange dream that Diggity and Snapshot had ANOTHER brother that our nieghbores got and he was named Skipe. He had the build of Snapshot, the stripe of diggity and the tail -fluffy- of diggity and the tip was white like Snapshot but he had different markings besides. Snapshot has a Red collar, Diggity a blue, Skipe had a Green. :) He was so cute...His own personality. BTW. He was mine. :D I stole him or something.........Yeah. I'm so nice. The route word of Nice is actually Ignorant. Didjya know? Niether did I till a week ago.!) Anyways, she turns into a spy of a murde- oops! I've said to much...! My sister is doing NaNoWrimo, though! She has done it several times in the past. :) She's SO good. I never read any of her things though....... Anyways, off to write my story.
PS: vote on the poll at my blog. Please only three votes.

Last year I got really into blogger when everyone was doing NaNo. I had no idea what it was, I thought it was some sort of cult or something. :D I wanted to do it this year, but I have to study for a test in January, where if I get a good grade, I will have a shot at getting into one of the best high schools in the country (it even has electron microscopes!!!!), so I will be way too busy. Was that one long run-on? :)

Peace,
