Check It Out!

Hey everyone! Sorry for not posting, I've been really busy trying to work on my summer homework, I went to the aquarium in Boston, and spent the day with Lucy out on an island yesterday, so well, yeah...been busy.
But I did go and guest post on THRIVE today and so head on over to Lauren's blog, read my post, drop a comment, and maybe follow. I'm sure she'd appreciate it! :)

In the Midst of Summer

Being on summer vacation is a truly excellent feeling.
Yesterday was my last day of finals, and my last day of freshman year. I'm happy to say that I passed all my classes with high honors and am excited for a challenging sophomore year come September!
For now though, I sure am enjoying the summer.
After school was over yesterday, my friend Haley and I hopped on the bus and headed down to the local ice cream shop where we treated our selves to large amounts of chocolate ice cream topped with Reese's and plenty of whipped cream. Needless to say, it was a great start to summer vacation. I spent the rest of yesterday lounging around and playing badminton with my brother and my mom and I went shopping in the evening, which was good because I needed a few more summer clothes.
Got some orange plaid shorts a couple tank tops, and also the lovely outfit I am sporting today, some gray jean shorts and a aqua-green and white striped shirt. Very summery and awesome.

Today I simply relished being able to sleep in until eight, which is so much better than having to wake up at five-thirty every morning to a shrill alarm clock. Best part of summer- no annoying alarm clock.
This morning I went to my brother's final assembly at the middle school at which he received a number of awards, and then came here and finished ready Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows out on my front porch. I figured that I had to read it again before the epic second half of the movie comes out in July :)
I also had a practice up at church for trumpet, and soon I am heading out to my final driving lesson! I'm very excited...I take my permit test of Monday and should have that permit in my hands by 3pm, at which time I can legally drive. Bwahaha.
I'm also going out to dinner with my extended family tonight to celebrate my grandmother's birthday.
All in all, it's been a busy and fun first day and a half of summer vacation!
What have you done so far with YOUR summer?

Hello 8-0-0

(And just a note on the above image....I HATE pink. But it finally didn't rain today so I felt springy and needing some pink in my post)

But aside from pink.....HAPPY 800th POST ON TREBLE CLEF!!!!!!!

This is exciting, my 800th post. It's certainly a landmark! 800 posts, two and a third years of action, 164 followers, Treble Clef is booming, and it will only continue to get even better and better.
So, yay me, yay Treble Clef, yay awesome followers.
I'm not going to be doing anything special for this occasion, but there are several things that I'd like to put into this post.

First, I know my posts have been a little less regular than usual. This is just due to a slightly more boring and less exciting life this past week. I dunno how it happened....but relaxing was pretty good. And I went onto Netflix and started watching Glee. I'm now a Glee addict....what can I say? It's hilarious! Anyway, I should be posting more this week because my life gets busier and more exciting again. Tomorrow, my church is having an all-church game of capture the flag, which should be awesome. Monday I've got jazz and it's back to the marching band to to get ready for the parade next Monday, Thursday I have what will be an epic spring concert, and Memorial day weekend is big because of the parade and also I START DRIVER'S ED. Awesomeness. It should be a good week. I'm hoping for minimal homework, as I still need to be reading my one section a day for that SAT of mine.
So I should be posting more :)

More stuff about this blog is....
I have sent an email to my dear friend Olivia, who does all the designing for Treble Clef about a new summer design, *update* She has agreed to my request and will be creating a new look very soon!
Speaking of summer, I have an important announcement to make.
I am going to be away from home pretty much all but like four days from June 26-July 31 and I don't want to leave the blog inactive, so I'm looking for a multitude of guest posters for that time period. Email me at trebleclefblog@gmail.com if you are interested!

I think that's all, once again, happy 800!

Looking Forward

Ever since getting back from April break, teachers have really started to push towards the end of the year.
Talking about mid-quarter grades going in on Friday.
Term papers being assigned in the coming weeks.
Standardized tests in math and English.
SAT in biology.
Finals,
finals,
finals
in every class.
Spring jazz, competition at Six Flags, pops concert, memorial day parade, and graduation to play for in band.
Plus....I have a life outside of school. I think....
Sometimes it sure doesn't feel that way!

I've just been putting together a calendar for these next three months, and goodness! Is it ever busy! I'm pretty sure that I'm only going to be home for about, oh, four days in July....
It promises to be a good, busy end of the school year and summer, that's for sure!

And the total collasal busy-ness starts.....oh yeah. Today.

Well, it's looking like a beautiful Saturday weather-wise! (And not to mention schedule-wise) I woke up really happy this morning, and I'm not really sure WHY, but maybe it's because all the crazy busy-ness pretty much starts today. (I thrive on a busy schedule if you haven't found that out already)

In a few minutes my mom and I are headed to the farmer's market which is one of my favorite Saturday rituals in the summertime. A little later we'll be going shopping too. I still need my dress for graduation and confirmation- but at least I already have the one I'm wearing to the 8th grade dance! I also need some shoes....

In the afternoon and evening we're going over to a friend's for their annual 'backyard bash' as they call it that they host every Memorial Day weekend. It's soooo much fun, and I can't wait!
